Samsung has launched a new range of portable and internal SSDs for its user base in India. The new T7 portable SSD starts at Rs 9,999 for 500GB and goes up to Rs 29,999 for 2TB. The 1TB model retails for Rs 17,999. Whereas the 870 QVO SSD comes in four variants, 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB. The prices are Rs 9,999, Rs 17,999, Rs 39,999, and Rs 74,999. Samsung T7 Portable SSD – Specifications
Equipped with USB 3.2 interface with backward compatibility, it offers up to 10Gbps data rate. The drive weighs at 58 grams and supports UASP mode. It comes with a transfer speed of up to 1,050MB/s. Speaking about the security, it comes with AES 256-bit hardware data encryption. There is password protection at the software level, and it is compatible with Samsung portable SSD software 1.0.
This portable drive will come in three colours, metallic red, indigo blue, and titan grey. As far as the connectivity is concerned, it has a USB Type-C to C, type-C to A. Samsung offers three years limited warranty on its T7 portable SSD.
Samsung 870 QVO SSD – Specifications
The 870 QVO SSD has a SATA interface with a 6 Gbps transfer rate. The form factor is 2.5-inch, and it a V-NAN 4-bit MLC (QLC). The controller is Samsung MKX, and notes that it comes with a variety of DRAM according to the storage models. The 1TB model will come with 1GB LPDDR4, and the numbers increase as the storage is increased. Samsung made this internal SSD available in four capacities, 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB.
The sequential read/write speed is up to 560/530MB/s, while the
random read/write speed is up to 98K/88K IOPS. It will be working on
Samsung Magician management software.
