Realme X2 is getting a new variant with 256GB internal storage in India, making it the highest configuration offered for this smartphone in the country. The new 256GB variant of the handset has 8GB of RAM and will go on sale in the Indian market on July 21st. The Realme X2 price in India for the 256GB + 8GB variant has not been announced yet and should be revealed once it goes on sale. Incidentally, the other Realme X2 variants – 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB – are out of stock on Flipkart as well as the company’s official website.
Separately, Realme earlier today announced it will be attending IFA 2020 tech expo in Berlin, Germany. Madhav Sheth, the brand’s India CEO, announced on Twitter that it plans to announce something big at the event, which is scheduled for September 4th to September 9th. This will be the first time the company is attending IFA since its inception in 2020.
Launched in December 2019, Realme X2 is an affordable smartphone that offers specifications such as a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, in-display fingerprint sensor, Snapdragon 730G processor, up to 256GB microSD card support. On the camera front, this smartphone has a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with 119-degree field of view, a 4cm macro lens, and a monochrome unit for portrait shots. It has a 32MP selfie sensor with electronic image stabilisation for blur-free photos and jerk-free videos as well. The smartphone has a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charge support to take the battery from 0 to 65 percent in 30 minutes.
Realme X3 successor to the X2, was launched in India recently and offers upgrades such as a bigger screen, higher display refresh rate, faster processor, and a slightly bigger battery, among others.
