Android 10 adopted faster than any other version, Google says!

In just 5 months Android 10 has been downloaded in almost more than 100 Millions of devices than any of other versions as per Google which have created a new history.

This means Android 10 has been adopted almost at the rate of 28% quicker than any of its previous version.

After 300 days, 400 million users were running the newest version of the software.

However, the speed of adoption still languishes behind Apple's iOS, which features a 92% adoption rate for its latest OS among modern iPhones.

There were almost 2.5 billions of android devices that were active in which number of devices with newer version were 400 Million which is almost 16% of the possibility of install base.

However, direct comparisons are not quite that simple. The most popular company Apple is known for making their own phones with their own software updates and releasing update itself on their own.Its adoption rate only counts phones released within the last four years.

Android, against this , is an open-source OS employed by an enormous range of manufacturers which make many various devices.

Those manufacturers have traditionally had to approve major Android releases for his or her devices, often adding lengthy delays.

Some manufacturers have also refused to plan to updates for his or her phones, even once they are available.

That has frustrated some users who are expecting new features - but some phones that haven't received essential security updates might be compromised by bad actors.

Google says it's made changes to the Android update process which have allowed it to push essential updates much faster.

One example is that the release of its contact-tracing backend system, employed by the coronavirus tracing apps in several countries, like Germany and Ireland.

The new system allows Google to push updates to parts of the OS through its Google Play app store.

"The only main problem that disturbs smartphone-maker is the amount of "COSTS" they have to spend during updating issuing." According to Android Development Team's discussion on Reddit.

As Android is open source software so , is highly customizable and is customized by the smartphone manufacturers so design their own cameras,UI(User Interface) and some other unique & special features.

During updates you need to have all the changes you made and then rebase onto (port forward) the new release which consume huge costs  that means you need a lot of  time , energy and efforts.

The changes being made by the team are designed to permit faster updates to specific parts of the system that don't got to be approved by every individual manufacturer.
